Really enjoyed it! Visually its clearly much better than X1 and there's alot more little touches like the midboss blasting off or the lighting in the boss fight that make it more exciting to watch.

I was most impressed by the boss fight honestly, the bosses in the first game always felt abit lacking to me somehow. This time it feels like there's a meaningful back-and-forth to the fight that keeps it interesting. The stagger meter I thought was especially interesting, haven't seen something like it in another game before. I assume it's to balance and limit the dps of the 3 chars? I'm still trying to figure out who it's meant to help and whether it's better to keep attacking until they stagger or to hold off so they don't get invincibility.

For char playstyles, Seiran seems good for stages bad at bosses, Ringo good for bosses bad for stages, then Reisen in between. Seiran's boss got alot easier once I stopped staggering them somehow.  I do wonder if Ringo should do abit more damage though, it took me around twice the time to kill the midboss with her compared to the others.  And, I don't know if this is placebo, but Reisen felt abit slower than the others when running or dashing on the ground for me. Might be because of her larger silhouette with her hair and long skirt, but dash-walljumping felt just fine on her for some reason. Another random thought I had (and this applies to X1 too) is that the level designs feel more condensed than the typical mmx stage would be, though that might be on purpose.

Overall, I'm very impressed and much more excited for the full release now. All the best on the rest of its development!

I tried this demo, and while I never played the first Udongein X game, it was pretty neat, Seiran however seemed to be a bit at a disadvantage compared to Reisen and Ringo.

If that matters to you, I tried on my steamdeck with proton and didn't seem to have any issues on my end.

im already sure this is gonna be  better then the first Udongein X this demo was fantastic ♡

the new playable characters are really intiresring and the patterns are fun to dodge but nothing hits like dashing through levels with Reisens mighty pew pew

I really loved Udongein X, it's one of my favorite fan games ever and it inspired me to finally play the Mega Man X games. So far, this seems like an upgrade in almost every way and I'm very excited for it.

My only concern is the double-tap to dash feature. Will it be possible to turn it off in the full game?

Good luck with the rest of the development!

Greetings! The demo was really fun to play! The game seems to be a direct upgrade from UdongeinX1 across the board, and I absolutely love the choice of having multiple characters be playable.

The main feedback I'd like to give is that the level and boss design does not seem to favor Seiran very much. Hitting the tanukis that are next to the little holes with the tsuchinokos is very difficult, and the boss' attack patterns also leave very little openings to be able to get in and deal damage. I also think the temporary invincibility it gets heavily restricts the reward the player gets for trying to get as many hits in as possible. But I really like the effect that happens when the room gets dark, and the attacks are very cool.

I'm excited to see how the rest of the game turns out. UdongeinX has been a pretty huge inspiration in my current project, so I wish you very good luck with the development of this one.
